Physical and Mental Health Perspectives on Elder Abuse
Tuesday, December 14, 2021
10:00AM - 12:00PM
Medical, mental health, and social service providers are instrumental in identifying and engaging victims of elder mistreatment and developing service plans to meet their needs. Due to the pandemic, most treatment and day programs are virtual, resulting in heightened emotional tensions and greater potential for elder mistreatment in the home. The challenge of working with older adults who may not have access to or otherwise use technology will also be discussed in this workshop.
