General Responsibilities:
Under supervision of the Director of Budgets and Reporting, the Compliance Manager — JASA Services will ensure compliance with all HRA, DFTA and other state and city contract terms and reporting. Coordinate field audits with the Grants Administration Manager and analysts. Maintain and update allocations per contract terms. Ensure accuracy of statistical reporting. Prepare and submit CFR and UPL, working closely with auditors.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain controls to ensure compliance with all contract terms and reporting requirements, including statistical reporting.
Independently manage and coordinate field audits with the Grants Administration Manager and analysts, working closely with Program managers as needed.
Maintain and update allocations of Shared Costs
Prepare and submit CFR and UPL, working closely with auditors.
Independently assist with several components of the annual independent and program audits.
Update various websites with contractually required reports, forms, and documents
Assist in the training and development of the grants analysts.
Assist the Director of Budgets and Financial Reporting in the preparation of the program budgets.
Assist the Director of Budgets and Reporting in the preparation of new RFP budgets and protocols.
Assist in the implementation of internal controls and financial policies and procedures • Identify and drive process improvements that lead to greater workflow efficiency
Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
Demonstrated expert command of grants administration of social service programs funded by state and city funds, including I-IRA and, DFTA. Strong administrative skills — able to handle high-volume of transactions and reporting requirements.
Should have worked in a complex largely governmentally funded nonprofit, in an independent managerial position.
Must be strong at multi-tasking, prioritizing and have demonstrated expertise in proactively working on projects of wide scope and significant magnitude.
Excellent written and oral communication and relationship skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft applications including Powerpoint, Word and Visio.
Must be computer literate, including ability to learn and use programspecific software, expert knowledge of Intacct and Adaptive a plus. Ability to read, write, speak, understand English.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in grants administration and compliance.
Bachelor's degree required.
Prior supervisory experience.
Knowledge of best practices in grants administration.
