Back to Class for #SeniorYear

JASA has launched the Back to Class for #SeniorYear campaign to highlight and fundraise for the educational programs our senior centers offer. By participating you’ll help to provide essential classes to older adults who want a place to socialize with peers, learn new things, and most of all, have fun. Every dollar we raise will go towards making it possible for seniors to learn about art, yoga, meditation, tai chi, painting, politics, advocacy and much more!

You can see all of the classes offered to the over 13,000 seniors who attend JASA’s 22 Senior Centers here

JASA would be delighted to host you for a site visit at one our Senior Center open houses. A variety of classes will be available throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx during the month of September. If this invitation is of interest, please contact Gerald Prosser at gprosser@jasa.org or 212-273-5211.

In 2030, almost 22% of the U.S. population (or roughly 70 million people) will be 65+ years old. Once again, the massive Baby Boom generation will be a catalyst for much change – but also opportunities for our aging population. JASA’s Back to Class for #SeniorYear campaign will help fund programs to help older adults remain active and engaged which research shows us combats loneliness and depression which in turn can cause health problems.  Activity keeps our seniors healthy and gives them purpose. Won’t you please be JASA’s cheerleader?

Show your JASA team spirit by supporting our programs. It's as easy as ABC to help keep our centers and the seniors they serve thriving.

You can either make a donation below or support this campaign by fundraising for JASA. We have lots of ideas, tips, and resources to help you with your fundraising.

Contact us at development@jasa.org or 212-273-5320 if you have any questions about fundraising.
