PETS (Pets and Elder Team Support)
Pets need constant attention and care. Volunteer to help a senior when love is not enough.
You can assist with pet care tasks such as:
- Dog walking
- Litter box cleaning
- Birdcage maintenance
- Shopping for pet supplies
- Veterinarian appointments
- Pet boarding
PETS volunteers meet to network and share resources at a monthly Council gathering. Average weekly commitment.
Paws and Friendly Visiting
What's better than puppy love? Visit a homebound senior accompanied by a young Labrador retriever as part of the animal's seeing-eye dog training twice a month. Volunteers complete a course in puppy-handling; a six-month commitment is required.
