Securities

Any gift of securities, including mutual funds, which you have owned for at least one year can be donated to JASA without incurring capital gains tax. Such gifts are fully tax-deductible up to 30% of your adjusted gross income, based on the fair market value of the stock on the day of transaction. The Jewish Association for Services for the Aged is tax exempt under Section 501(c)3 of the IRS Code and contributions to JASA are fully tax-deductible.
