About the Venue

JASA is pleased to host the 2017 Celebrating Seniors Cocktail Reception at the American Jewish Historical Society (AJHS) where our guests will have the opportunity to view a private, once-in-a-century exhibit: UJA-Federation of New York: The First Century!

Developed in collaboration with AJHS, the exhibit celebrates a milestone, and tells the unique and powerful story of UJA-Federation’s collective impact. Utilizing transcripts, newspaper clippings, photos, video and audio recordings, documents, and past marketing materials, the exhibit will trace the sweeping local, national, and global challenges in the Jewish community, and the significant, often pivotal, role UJA-Federation has played during these times. The exhibit will only be on display from March 8, 2017 through May 31, 2017.

AJHS is the oldest ethnic, cultural archive in the United States. AJHS provides access to more than 25 million documents, and 50,000 books, photographs, art and artifacts that reflect the history of the Jewish presence in the United States from 1654 to the present.
