Toby Usnik, Founder, Philanthropic Impact Partners

Toby Usnik is the founder of Philanthropic Impact Partners (π), a global advisory firm that draws on three decades of experience working with the world’s most influential corporations, philanthropists,and social innovators to tackle problems—both global and local—and build a shared sense of community.

Prior to launching (π), Mr. Usnik was Chief Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Officer and International Director at Christie’s, the world’s leading art business. In this role, he worked with colleagues, clients, vendors and outside observers to execute Christie’s CSR initiatives globally under its Art+Soul umbrella. Previously, Mr. Usnik was Senior Vice President and International Head of Corporate Communications, Christie’s International and also held roles as the Executive Director of Public Relations for The New York Times Company, Director of Global Communications at Razorfish and Director of International Public Affairs at American Express.

For nearly two decades he served as a board member of the Empire State Pride Agenda civil rights organization and since 2011 has been a director of The New York Foundation for Arts. He co-leads the Communications Advisory Council for the Humane Society of the United States and since beginning to auctioneer in 2014, has raised more than $1.3 million for nonprofit organizations.

He is also a private pilot and resides with his husband in Manhattan.

Mr. Usnik will serve as Auctioneer of JASA’s Celebrating Seniors Cocktail Reception for the fourth year, and to date, has helped to raise nearly $200,000 for New York’s seniors.
