General Responsibilities:
Performs varied administrative level tasks in support of the Human Resources Department with a focus on New Hires and processing new hire paperwork and new hire orientations.  

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepares New Hire Checklist for new employees, indicating those documents required and recording receipt of these documents. 
Collaborates with the compliance department to ensure that medical screenings are conducted for appropriate staff members in a timely manner. 
Ensures that all background checks/fingerprints are conducted in a timely manner.
Assembles new employee information packets, insuring that all information and documents required by law and JASA policy are included.
Prepares and facilitates weekly New Hire orientation sessions.
Processes all new hires through Home Care systems, Sandata, HC Plus etc.
Maintains HRIS software system: enters information regarding new hires.
Assists applicants with the initial application process
Provides information to employees regarding benefits and policies.
Prepares responses and maintains records for all employment verification requests.
Provides assistance with recruiting efforts, such as helping draft outreach materials and attending recruiting events as needed.
Works as a team member to support the Human Resources department, and fellow Home Care colleagues. 
Must maintain complete confidentiality at all times.
Performs other related tasks as assigned

High School degree, or equivalent.
One to two years of experience in recruitment and/or general Human Resources Administration. 
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google suite.
Knowledge of HRIS system software and the ability to produce reports and enter/update employee data.
Well-developed organizational, analytical and communications skills.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted (for employee benefits enrollment materials).
Must be computer literate, including ability to learn and use program-specific software.
Must work well in a fast-paced, team environment
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Fluency (oral and written) required in one or more of the following languages: Russian, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Creole.
