Details

Responsibilities
Supervised by Senior Director of JASA Elder Abuse Services.
Work with the Planning Committee for the Elder Abuse Conference (EAC) to develop and deliver the program for the annual conference and to provide support for the five Elder Abuse Training Institute (EATI) workshops.
· Planning for, attending and reporting on monthly EAC Planning Committee Meetings
· Working with Senior Director, the workshop moderators and presenters to define and deliver the EAC program
• Assist with identification of location for the conference and making room assignments
• Prepare program for the day
• Collaborating with Senior Director, JASA volunteer coordinator and providers of continuing education credits to define and communicate the roles and responsibilities of volunteers at the EAC
• Collaborate with the consultant who manages online registration for EATI and EAC
• Develop the evaluation forms and reporting on the evaluations for the EAC
• Help develop and deliver marketing materials (save the Date, Invitation etc.) and the actual program with SR. Director and JASA Development

Continuing Education Credits approval
· Collaborate with Brookdale Center continuing education coordinator to ensure availability of Continuing Education Credits (CEU) for the EAC and EATI and with Director of JASA Legal Services and St. John’s University School of Law to ensure CLE at the EAC
Work with Sr. Director and workshop presenters on completing application package for CEU approval for EATI and EAC workshops
· Providing administrative support for the EAC and EATI Workshops as possible
Assist with registration for EATI workshops
· Other supportive activities as agreed upon

Credentials:
MA degree, or BA with commensurate experience
Experience in event planning for corporate or not for profit organizations
Computer skills including word, Google, Excel
Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills
Part time position - maximum of 400 hours
