General Responsibilities
The Associate Director, NORCs will be responsible for providing supervision to NORC program directors/staff.

Primary Responsibilities
• Provide support and direction for NORC program directors in the following areas:
o Develop and enhance volunteer programs
o Ensure the delivery of nursing services including troubleshooting relationships with health providers
o Support the communication with facilities and housing management, connecting with DFTA as needed regarding facility concerns
• Serve as a substitute staff person in NORC programs as needed
• Assist NORC program directors in their contacts with other social agencies, community organizations and groups
• Provide support to the Senior Director to engage with program-level staff regarding
o Preparation of renewal applications and proposals
o Monitoring adherence to funder contract/grant compliance guidelines with a focus on case management
o Reviewing site visits/audits
o Identifying measures for portfolio success and overseeing information gathering and metrics evaluation
o Assisting program staff in carrying out corrective action plans
o Identifying and establish initial and continuing education training
o Identifying field placements for student interns

The Associate Director, NORCs will have the following qualifications:
• MSW or any master degree in related field
• Experience in human service delivery with an emphasis on aging services as well as an understanding of the NORC Model and community-building activities
• Proven experience in transferring knowledge and skills
• Desire and ability to work collaboratively and thoughtfully as part of a committed, integrated team
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and concisely (both in writing and orally)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to solve problems, prioritize work, work independently, and excel in a high performance culture
• Ambitious, innovative and creative
• Professional maturity, good judgment and ability to motivate others in a similar way
• Strong commitment to JASA’s mission
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with EHR preferred
• Ability to travel using mass transit
• An understanding and appreciation of the roles of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual preference, and individual values have as they relate to serving clients
